Auto Immune Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 28, 2026

1. Introduction

Auto Immune has both peer-to-peer and asynchronous multiplayer game modes, as well as anonymous game analytics. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, no email addresses, no usernames, and no chat. This privacy policy explains what information is collected and shared when you play.

This game isn't aimed at children, and we don't knowingly collect their data. We may update this notice as the game changes; the date at the top shows the latest version.

2. Peer-to-Peer Connections

When you join or host a multiplayer game using the option to share a browser link, the game establishes a direct peer-to-peer (P2P) connection between you and the other player using WebRTC technology. This means:

This is a fundamental requirement of WebRTC peer-to-peer connections and cannot be avoided while using this feature.

Our signaling servers temporarily process your IP address and a randomly generated lobby identifier to establish the connection between players. This information is not stored after the connection is established, and lobby records are automatically deleted after a short time-to-live period.

This does NOT apply to multiplayer games established through Steam.

3. Game Replays

For asynchronous multiplayer Auto Immune also collects and stores game replays.

These are just the in-game moves and game state, with nothing that identifies you. These may be collected from both multiplayer and single player games. Replays are stored on our servers and can be redistributed anonymously to other players for them to compete against. This is required to provide the asynchronous multiplayer game mode. Replays may be stored for as long as needed to provide other players of the asynchronous multiplayer mode with opponents.

4. Game Analytics

We may also collect game analytics data related to player patterns, such as frequently used moves, amount of times spent in game, etc. These are used to inform the designers on how to improve the game.

Game saves and settings are stored locally on your own device and are not transmitted to us.

5. Third-Party Services

Google STUN Servers: We use Google's publicly available STUN servers to facilitate WebRTC connections. Google's privacy policy applies to their handling of any data they process. Google is based in the United States and self-certifies under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which provides a recognized basis for this transfer. You can review Google's privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Valve Steam: Auto Immune on the Steam platform utilizes Valve's Steamworks services, including but not limited to achievement tracking and establishing multiplayer game connections if you use those features. You can review Valve's privacy policy at https://store.steampowered.com/privacy_agreement/

6. Your Rights

You have rights over your personal data — you can ask what we hold, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. Email us at autoimmunegame@gmail.com and we'll help. Bear in mind that because we don't collect names or accounts, we often can't tell which data relates to which person, so there may be nothing we can trace back to you specifically. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
